Top Secret MI6 Camera Sold to the Highest Bidder On eBay

A 28-year-old delivery man from the UK who bought a Nikon Coolpix camera for about $31 on eBay got more than he bargained for when the camera arrive  with top secret information from the UK’s MI6 organization.Allegedly sold by one of the clandestine organization’s agents, the camera contained named al-Qaeda cells, names, images of suspected terrorists and weapons, fingerprint information, and log-in details for the Secret Service’s computer network, containing a “Top Secret” marking.

Once he downloaded the contents onto his computer, he immediately went to the police to explain the situation. The police originally treated it as a joke, but within a week, anti-terror officers started investigating and demanded that he not talk to the media about the contents contained in the camera.

Journalist and author Neil Doyle told The Sun that the contents are “MI6 documents relating to an operation against al-Qaeda insurgents in Iraq. It’s jaw-dropping they got into the public domain.

“Not only do they divulge secrets about operations, operating systems and previously unheard-of MI6 departments, but they could put lives at risk.”

MI6 is currently trying to track down the agent who made the mistake. If caught, the agent could face serious legal ramifications and face suspension.

Murata Boy Gets a Unicycle-Riding Girlfriend

The CEATEC 2008 tech/electronics exhibition started today in Chiba (near Tokyo) and as to be expected, the Murata Girl, aka creepy kindergarten robot Little Seiko, turned out to be the biggest crowd pleaser.

Today marks the first time Murata, the Tokyo-based company behind the robot, demonstrated its newest product to a larger audience (Japanese video news portal DigInfo kindly provided CrunchGear with their video first).

Motorsport 2025

Each year the LA Auto Show pits the best of the best of designers from the automakers to try and design some creative looks at our automotive future. Last year, it was all about "green," but this year, the project's called Motorsport 2025, and it's designed to show off what the race car of 2025 will look like. While we don't have the full gamut of responses to show off yet, we do have a sneak peek at Mitsubishi's entry to the quasi-esteemed contest based totally in unreality. It's called the MMR25 Rally Racer and yes, it's meant for the rally courses of the future. Frankly, we were kind of hoping dirt would be abolished by 2025. Full press release after the jump — along with a rear view of the dirty red racer.

Mitsubishi Motors Enters its Innovative 2025 Rally Racer for LA Auto Show’s Design Challenge

Continuing its world racing heritage and its industry leading expertise in electric vehicles, Mitsubishi Motors has introduced the most revolutionary racing technology that will defy automotive racing standards in the year 2025.

The MMR25 will have nine motors in each wheel, one to spin the main structure and eight more to control smaller embedded wheels for traction while deftly maneuvering along the highway, maybe even driving sideways. Special "oblique aerodynamics" mean that the sideways driving won't be penalized by wind resistance, either.

There's no glass: It's too damn heavy, and you won't need it, what with visual information coming in via a crazy camera array that feeds a 360-degree panoramic screen that surrounds your "pod."

It's plenty power efficient, too, getting 1,000 miles per charge out of lightweight composite-nano-fiber-jiggied lithium-based batteries. (Now word on explodeyness, but presumably that's solved too.)

We're gonna go one step further and guess that the electric charge itself will come from just an hour or two under the hot sun, thanks to efficient solar cells. But ha ha, that would just be ludicrous, right?

The MMR25 incorporates an omnidirectional wheel design that consists of eight independently-controlled electric motors within each wheel hub. This makes the MMR25 the first and only “8 x 4” wheel drive vehicle. The rotational direction of the tires allows the vehicle to be driven forward while pointing the nose of the vehicle in any direction, instead of drifting you can actually drive sideways (or at any angle.) Innovative “Oblique Aerodynamics” gives the vehicle aero advantages when driving sideways.

A driver sits inside a windowless pod just below the center wing. The center wing spoiler is located directly over the cabin, which rises and lowers as the vehicle moves sideways. This pod is surrounded by a seamless, 360-degree panoramic screen displaying images from outside cameras. Removing the heavy glass windows significantly reduces vehicle weight and enables the driver to see changing environmental and track conditions throughout the day. Special Memory Metal Alloy is used in fabricating the sophisticated front and rear spoilers, which also act as suspension blades.

Microformats: rel=nofollow

Relnofollow is an elemental microformat, a part from the open standarts for microformats. When you add a rel=nofollow to any link, the page shows, that the link destination must not add any weight to this link. Typical example for using it is in the blog comments or a link, which the author wants to point, but not to add a weight to it. You an see VoteLinks - a way to add ( or not to add ) weight to a link.
The conception for the attribute is given from Google, but it was applied from Tehnorati and then it became a part from the microformats.
In the bulgarian blogosphere there are many tests for nofollow, there is entire separate blog called Gray hat seo, which exists a long time ago and it shows, that the nofollow attribute is not taken in mind. Here i think the number of the exbound links does matter, but not just links to interesting blog posts. The above nofollow tests has purpose to prove, that the rel=nofollow gives any value to the link. I've red what is written in Webmaster Guidelines about the rel=nofollow attribute:

How does Google handle nofollowed links?

We don't follow them. This means that Google does not transfer PageRank or anchor text across these links. Essentially, using nofollow causes us to drop the target links from our overall graph of the web. However, the target pages may still appear in our index if other sites link to them without using nofollow, or if the URLs are submitted to Google in a Sitemap. Also, it's important to note that other search engines may handle nofollow in slightly different ways.

And howsoever, the page can exists in the index, if it is linked through the Google Sitemap>

Here is an quote from the Official blog post:
If you're a blogger (or a blog reader), you're painfully familiar with people who try to raise their own websites' search engine rankings by submitting linked blog comments like "Visit my discount pharmaceuticals site." This is called comment spam, we don't like it either, and we've been testing a new tag that blocks it. From now on, when Google sees the attribute (rel="nofollow") on hyperlinks, those links won't get any credit when we rank websites in our search results. This isn't a negative vote for the site where the comment was posted; it's just a way to make sure that spammers get no benefit from abusing public areas like blog comments, trackbacks, and referrer lists.

Many things was changed, because Google is chasing a sites, which sells links. From selling links nobody is getting rich ( except Yahoo ). But the rules are these and we have to follow them :)
Here is an interesting blog, which is called - Nonofollow, and the subtitle is : Fight with spam, not blogs.

Here are some Bulgarian resources about Nofollow:
If you have other visions about the Nofollow, please feel free to comment.

Halloween is the 6th largest holiday in the U.S. ($4.96B in 2006)

CERN in 3 minutes

The European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, is the world's largest particle physics laboratory, situated in the northwest suburbs ofGeneva on the Franco-Swiss border, established in 1954.[1] The organization has twenty European member states, and is currently the workplace of approximately 2600 full-time employees, as well as some 7931 scientists and engineers (representing 500 universities and 80 nationalities).

The World Wide Web began as a CERN project called ENQUIRE, initiated by Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau in 1989. Berners-Lee and Cailliau were jointly honored by the ACM in 1995 for their contributions to the development of the World Wide Web.
Based on the concept of hypertext, the project was aimed at facilitating sharing information among researchers. The first website went on-line in 1991. On 30 April 1993, CERN announced that the World Wide Web would be free to anyone. A copy of the original first webpage, created by Berners-Lee, is still published on the World Wide Web Consortium website as a historical document.

This Cisco Systems router at CERN was probably one of the first IP routers deployed in Europe.
Prior to the Web's development, CERN had been a pioneer in the introduction of Internet technology, beginning in the early 1980s. A short history of this period can be found here.
More recently, CERN has become a centre for the development of Grid computing, hosting among others the Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) and LHC Computing Grid projects. It also hosts the CERN Internet Exchange Point (CIXP), one of the two main Internet Exchange Points in Switzerland. CERN's computer network is connected to JANET (formerly UKERNA), the research and education network, JANET aids CERN to disperse large data over a network grid for closer analysis.

At 10.25 central European time scientists from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) invoked the machinery of Creation - known to scientists as Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The experiment, which should repeat Big explosion, which was created universe, not create a black hole and not devour the earth.

But there is great risk!
